Florists in the United States range from neighborhood flower shops with a walk-in cooler to studio designers who work only by appointment for weddings and events. Most retail florists build arrangements to order, deliver the same day when you call before early afternoon, and belong to a wire network (FTD, Teleflora or BloomNet) that passes out-of-town orders to a local shop. Ordering from the shop directly rather than through a national website usually means more flowers for the money, because no order-gatherer takes a cut. Flower markets and wholesalers sell loose stems and bunches, often early in the morning, and many now open to the public. Flower farms grow seasonal blooms such as dahlias, peonies and sunflowers and sell by the bucket, by subscription or as pick-your-own.

Tacoma is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. Getting around Tacoma is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Washington's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

As many of the one star reviews said, I would leave 0 stars if it let me. I ordered the Moody Blues and Urban Dream arrangements for my likely last anniversary with my terminally ill spouse. For the Moody Blues, they sent me a picture of the design they had in mind and it looked nothing like the picture on the website. What makes matters worse is that the driver didn't even deliver the order. The Urban Dream arrangement did arrive, but one of the flowers was brown. I was home when the flowers were delivered and the delivery driver didn't stick around long enough for me to get to the door and drove off with one of the two arrangements. I called the customer service line for help and they wanted to deliver the flowers the following day and I said I wanted them on my actual anniversary day and they said they couldn't do that, but they could speak with a manager to give me a refund. They also told me that a manager would call me as soon as they could. I told them I wasn't asking for a refund. They didn't listen and sent a refund. When I called them again today regarding speaking to a manager, I was told by the woman on the phone that I spoke to the manager the previous day. I asked wh

I ordered some flowers for my mom in May and never got a picture of them or an update from Williams Flower that they had been delivered. I got a text from them today in June (over a month later) with the attached picture and saying it was out for delivery. I am not sure why their messaging system is 1+ month behind. Finally seeing the flowers a month later has me disappointed because the majority of the bouquet is greenery. To pay $90 for what it looks like 2 white roses and a couple purples ones is disappointing.

I dropped in on a whim today to add a little color to a belated Motherβs Day lunch. They are so helpful and have good aesthetic sense. The florist understood that I just wanted a little poesy and asked for my budget and if I had any preferences. I told the florist Momβs favorite color was blue and she created this lovely little arrangement for her. Mom put them in her favorite blue vase and even tied the blue ribbon they added around the vase. She was so happy and surprised. I think youβre on the right track if you order your flowers from this nice local business. They can clearly handle big, elaborate arrangements and large orders (they were working on beautiful big bouquets when I came in) and they are also good at small, simple things. Free street parking, close to major intersections so itβs easy to get there too.

I ordered flowers early in the morning on April 28, 2026, for delivery on April 29, 2026, for my best friend who had just lost her motherβso timing and presentation truly mattered. On April 29 around 2 PM, I called the shop to confirm delivery and was reassured the arrangement was already out for delivery and would arrive before their stated close of business at 8 PM. However, I later received an email stating the flowers were delivered at 8:58 PMβwell past the promised timeframe. Unfortunately, the condition of the flowers did not reflect the $234 I spent. Based on the photos my friend sent, the arrangement looked far from what was expected, especially given the sensitive occasion. What was most disappointing was the response when I called to address my concerns. Instead of empathy or accountability, I was met with, βWell, the driver took a good picture,β which completely dismissed the issue. Customer service mattersβespecially during moments like these. I chose this shop based on prior experience and positive reviews, but this experience fell far short.

Supposed to be 2 dozens of roses but I only received 22. Some are very small and dark. And vase is filled with too much green, looks a lot different from the ad. My partner isnβt happy at all I got these flowers for her. So disappointed.
